Logan Lenz
Hello my name is Logan Lenz; I am excited to be a 2009 FFA Ambassador for the Douglas County Fair and Rodeo. I have just finished my first year in Agricultural Education and FFA and I have learned so much. I am on the parliamentary procedure team and meats judging team. My teammates and I were State Champions in the Meat Evaluation Career Development Event and will be competing at the National level in October.
I have also been an active Douglas County 4-H member since I was eight years old. In 4-H, I show swine, am the President of the Clover Clan 4-H Club, and am a 4-H Youth Council representative for my club. I was also on the National Champion 4-H Meats Judging team in 2008.
I am 17 years old and will be entering my senior year of high school where I will be playing football for the Huskies. I plan to go to college for agriculture business with a minor in animal science.
I look forward to seeing you at the fair! |

Caity Stephenson
My name is Caity Stephenson, and I am 17 years old. I am extremely excited to represent FFA at the 2009 Douglas County Fair and Rodeo! I have just finished my first year in Agriculture education and FFA and have never felt so engaged in my life! Through Agriculture I have not only learned so much but I have met people who share the same values as I, creating lifelong friends! FFA has become a very important part of my life and has introduced me into a community rich is hard-work, ethics, and friendship, and fun! Recently I was lucky enough to compete at State CDE’s for Livestock Judging and be announced as a “Gold” team!
Through Agriculture education I have also been able to become involved in other great programs such as Douglas County 4-H and have taken a position on the officer team as a treasurer! For this first year I will only be participating in some of the general projects as well as Livestock Judging, however, I am excited to see what the next year brings!
This upcoming year I will be entering High-School as a senior, taking all of the Agriculture classes offered! I plan to continue my education after High-School hopefully attending the University of Wyoming. I plan to study Farm and Ranch Management or Animal science!
See you at the rodeo!!! |
