The competition heats up with 30 of the top bull riders in the region working to stay as long as possible on some of the rankest bulls in the world. The top 12 riders from the first round will advance to the Championship Round. Riders are not only competing for the cash prize, but also for points towards the Professional Team Bull Riders (PTBR) finals later in the fall.

| The Douglas County Fair & Rodeo Board works with four different top rodeo contractors in bringing some of the rankest bulls in the world for the competition.
As an added special event during the bull riding, there will once again be the Bull Fight Challenge. A bull fighter will be challenging a Mexican fighting bull in a 70 second competition. The fight is bloodless, at least to the bull.
"Bull Riding is America 's number one extreme sport and this event is always a crowd favorite. They'll be lots of spills, chills and some of the best western entertainment you can find," said Jesse Hill of the Douglas County Fair & Rodeo Board.
The Shiloh River Band gets the crowd stompin' beginning at 5:30 p.m. , before the rodeo, with their unique country style rock'n'roll music.
Tickets are $12 for adults and $6 for children ( $1 per ticket to benefit "Renee's Friends Fund ") and can be purchased at the Box Office at the Douglas County Fairgrounds and Events Center beginning Monday, July 28 through Saturday, Aug. 9, every day from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tickets can also be purchased at the event. |
