The theme of this years fair is “A BLAST FROM THE PAST”. The first 4-H Livestock Sale was held in 1959. It is with that date in mind and in celebration of its 50 years of existence, that we’ve decided to relive a part of the 50s & 60s. What better WAY TO do that then feature the group SHA NA NA for our Friday night concert. The group was in the original Woodstock Festival lineup, starred in the movie “GREASE” & hosted its own TV series, “Sha Na Na” for four years. The group still maintains an active concert schedule and is excited to be back in the Denver area. If you’re too young to know who they are, or want to rekindle some memories, visit their website at www.shanana.com. Then plan to attend their concert on Friday, August 7, 9:30 p.m. at this years Douglas County Fair & Rodeo. TICKET INFORMATION WILL BE ANNOUNCED SOON
Rodeo/Concert combo tickets are now available at www.ticketswest.com
Tickets will also be available at Kings Soopers and at the door.

In celebrating 50 years of the Douglas County Livestock Sale what better way than to bring the old and new together. The Douglas county Fair is proud to have Jason Boland & The Stragglers as our Saturday night concert. Jason’s music brings in the new country sound most have come to call “Texas Country”. Though Jason does not classify it that way stating “The Chinese don’t call it Chinese food, its just food. I’m just making music.” With songs such as ‘Alright’ and ‘The parties not over’ among many others Jason is sure to put on a great show. Check out their website at www.thestragglers.com. Then plan to attend their concert Saturday, August 8, 9:30 pm. at this years Douglas county Fair & Rodeo. TICKET INFORMATION WILL BE ANNOUNCED SOON
