Frequently Asked Questions

Can you enter Quilts in the Seniors Department?

Yes, you can. You can also enter in the Quilt Department. The quilts entered in the Seniors Department uses the same judges as the Quilt Department. Our quilts are judged first. They are judged against only the quilts in our department. We have a Best of Show award for the Senior Quilt also.

What other categories can I enter in Seniors Department?

The only departments that we do not take entries for are Baking and Canning. All other departments, Crafts, Home Arts, Quilts, Photography and Fine Arts can be entered in Seniors. The judges for the other Departments also judge the entries in the Seniors Department.

What is the “Most Unique Recycle Award”?

That is only for Class 34 - Recycled. Of all other entries in this class, it is the most UNIQUE item made from recycled anything. Example: A Halloween skeleton with moving arms and legs made from gallon milk jugs. Use your imagination…..every year we see so many amazing ideas!!
